Another member of the Ligi Ndogo youth program,Sean is part of the elite group that has fed the Ligi Ndogo Senior team.Sean showed promise from very early on.He was the first player to be noticed by international scouts in 2005 when Everton and Wigan Athletic showed an interest in him during the Ligi Ndogo tour of the Umbro (now Keele) Cup.Wigan Athletic approached him again in 2006 and ’08.
In August 2008,he won U12 group at the Umbro International Youth Cup in Manchester, England after being runner up the previous year and having won the plate cup in 2006. He was unable to join them because of the UK’s strict rules on recruitment. During a tour of the Dana Cup, Denmark in 2011,a few other teams approached him for trials but he was not able to make it the next year.
He was voted Riara school player of the year in 2006,’07 and ’08,John Garrod tournament’s best player in 2011 and player of the tournament East Africa cup,2010.He was then approached by Gor Mahia but had to stay in school.
After a loan spell at Elite Club to get regular playing time,he was reunited with the Ligi Ndogo Senior team this year.
A winger and attacker,he is blessed with blinding speed. The young striker,though not completely refined,is learning very fast.He is a good dribbler, a good passer of the ball and very quick of the blocks on transition play.He is very deft on the ball in front of goal and can supply as well as pick either feet to finish.
Sean is set to be a regular first team player in 2016.
