The LIGI NDOGO inter centre was initially started to give all the Ligi Ndogo centres a forum for interaction. It was used to choose the Planet and most exceptional players from all the centres who would represent Ligi Ndogo in national and international tournaments.
It features under 10 and fewer than 12 age groups.
As it grew in stature teams from other regions in Nairobi requested participation. Nothing the dearth of tournaments featuring this age category, the rules were modified to accommodate other teams on an invitational basis.
The tournament is played on a home and away basis. The first edition was on 25thOctober 2009.Ligi Ndogo won, beating Liberty 9-8 in post-match penalties.
The tournament aims to give players under the age of 15 a forum to showcase their skills.
Nine centres are currently qualified under the strict rules of the tournament: Makadara, Kangemi, Ngong’ Rd, Huruma, South B, Gigiri, Imara Daima and Liberty and Karen.
In order to qualify for the league, the centers must submit the following:
· A list of player names under the required age bracket
· Date of birth and proof of birth (photocopy of clinical card, birth certificate or passport)
· Parents’ names and contacts
· Email address
· School and
· Residence and
· A viable budget to cater for eight (8) away matches
